Ride For A Purpose – Muscular Dystrophy Foundation Gauteng (Muscle Riders)
The Muscular Dystrophy Foundation of SA seeks to improve the quality of life of people affected with this dreadful disease. It is important for us to make the public more aware of the disease and to generate much-needed funds. People affected with muscular dystrophy need motorised wheelchairs and other assistive devices that are very expensive. We would like to give cyclists the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of such people by raising funds through riding for a purpose. Last year 107 cyclists rode for us, including four doctors. Some of the non-profit organizations raised more than a million rand in this way last year.
We would greatly appreciate it if you and your friends could ride for our Muscle Riders group. Our request is that each rider donate or raise at least R1 000. Letters will also be sent to riders enabling them to ask family, friends and companies for donations on our behalf.
Looking forward to generate awareness, as well as securing much needed funds to assist those in need. We sincerely hope that you will support our organization again.
