The Muscle Riders are a team who ride for the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation Gauteng, raising funds to improve the quality of life of people affected with muscular dystrophy. 2012 was the first year that we entered a team to participate in the 947 Cycle Challenge, which takes place during November in Johannesburg every year. Cyclists said it was an honour to ride for us and wear our cycling shirt. We ask that each cyclist donate or raise at least R1 000 in the lead-up to race day for us. Thanks to sponsors, we were able to have appreciation functions before the race and give each rider a cycle jersey and goodie bag for the race day. We are proud of each and every one of our cyclists who took on the cycle race and know that you care and ride for those who can’t. We hope that you’ll be willing to ride for our purpose again this year. If you are interested in riding with our Muscle Riders team, please email Braam Roux at firstname.lastname@example.org.
